Privacy Policy
Hometown Computing regards privacy as a right each customer can expect. This document details
the information kept on each customer and what is done with it.
Hometown Computing maintains a database of all customer names, addresses, and telephone numbers.
This database is considered company confidential and is not disclosed to outsiders. It is against
company policy to disclose any customer information to anyone other than the customer.
Hometown Computing does not make this information available to third-parties for mailing purposes.
Hometown Computing may on occasion make mailings on behalf of or in cooperation with third
parties, but in all cases the confidentiality of the customer database is maintained.
Hometown Computing does not disclose or distribute email addresses of its customers.
For dial in customers, a record is kept of each dial in session including when the session started,
when it ended, and how much data was transferred. No record is kept of what sites the customer visited.
For email, no copy of delivered email is kept on Hometown Computing systems. Customer email is
considered private. It may be necessary from time to time for Hometown Computing employees to
examine customer email to verify proper operation of the email system, but the contents of customer
email is never disclosed to any third parties.
If presented with a valid court-ordered request, Hometown Computing will cooperate fully with any
and all law enforcement agencies.
