 Leased Lines
Leasing a fully dedicated line for Internet access is the fastest
and most reliable type of access available. For 56K and T1 service, Hometown Computing can provide the
bandwidth you need for the Internet. Our full-bandwidth T1 to the UUnet
backbone gives us one of the fastest connections around, with bandwidth
to spare.
When you lease a line for Internet access, you incur charges from both Hometown
Computing and your local phone company, because the line is leased from them.
Phone company prices for leased lines may vary, but Hometown Computing will
handle setting up the line with the phone company. You will still receive a bill
from them, but their price will be included in your quote from Hometown Computing.
Also included in setting up a leased line is the purchase of routing equipment,
the price of which may also vary. The cost for 56K and T1 leased lines break
down as shown below:
